Gae Aulenti for The Milaneser

I’ve made this Gae Aulenti portrait for the cover of the fictional magazine “The Milaneser”. Gae Aulenti was an architect, born in a little village in Friuli (like me), and she was one of the few women designing in the postwar period in Italy. With Gae, the italian avant-garde design movement blossomed into an entirely new type of Italian architecture, one full of imaginary utopias leaving standardization to the past. You can buy the print here: https://shop.themilaneser.com/
