I made this portrait of architect Gae Aulenti for the cover of “The Milaneser”, a fictional magazine project that gathers the work of different Italian illustrators. Aulenti was an architect, born in a small town in the Italian region of Friuli (just like me), and she was one of the few women designers in post-war Italy. Aulenti helped Italian design and architecture to move in a new, modern, direction, free from the constrictions of classical style. You can buy the print here: https://shop.themilaneser.com/
